My final cool tool review is called Coggle. Coggle is an online tool for creating and sharing maps of ideas such as notes, brainstormed ideas or planning. It works on any browser (no downloads or installations required) and can be shared with your friends, colleagues or classmates.
What is nice about this tool is that there are three versions: Free (free), Awesome ($5/month), and Organization ($8/month).
Some advantages about using Coggle are:
What is nice about this tool is that there are three versions: Free (free), Awesome ($5/month), and Organization ($8/month).
Some advantages about using Coggle are:
- You can have three private diagrams
- Icons (this is available in the free version)
- Unlimited image downloads (also available in the free version)
- PDF & image downloads (yup, included in the free version too)
- Saves every change you make
Steps to creating your own Coggle:
- Create an account- if you already have a Google account you can just use that instead of creating a new one
- Click create a diagram
- Click to edit your title
- Add to your web by clicking the '+' marks on either side of your title
- Pick your colors
I think that Coogle is easy to use. When I did not understand how to do something such as deleting a branch I did not want, I just clicked on the green question mark on the botton right corner and it was very helpful.
Coggle can be good to use in a classroom but I think that when assigning this to students you need to make sure that you include a rubric because these can become really crammed if you add to much information.
