Cool Tool #5: Coogle

My final cool tool review is called Coggle. Coggle is an online tool for creating and sharing maps of ideas such as notes, brainstormed ideas or planning. It works on any browser (no downloads or installations required) and can be shared with your friends, colleagues or classmates.

What is nice about this tool is that there are three versions: Free (free), Awesome ($5/month), and Organization ($8/month).

Some advantages about using Coggle are:
  • You can have three private diagrams
  • Icons (this is available in the free version)
  • Unlimited image downloads (also available in the free version)
  • PDF & image downloads (yup, included in the free version too)
  • Saves every change you make 
Steps to creating your own Coggle:
  1. Create an account- if you already have a Google account you can just use that instead of creating a new one
  2. Click create a diagram 
  3. Click to edit your title 
  4. Add to your web by clicking the '+' marks on either side of your title 
  5. Pick your colors 


I think that Coogle is easy to use. When I did not understand how to do something such as deleting a branch I did not want, I just clicked on the green question mark on the botton right corner and it was very helpful. 

Coggle can be good to use in a classroom but I think that when assigning this to students you need to make sure that you include a rubric because these can become really crammed if you add to much information.

This one has a lot of information but they picked a good format that is not too overwhemling. I also picked this because I thought it was cool that they made it look like a lung.


Coggle would be a good use in the classroom because it is easy to use and a good visual aid to present information. I would use Coggle for students to brainstorm ideas for a project or paper that I assign. I would also use it to allow students to show me their understanding of specific topics or lessons that we have covered. This would be a good tool to use to make their digital project OR they could this to map out ideas to present their ideas (pros and cons list). Overall, I enjoyed this tool. I liked that it is through Google so it would connect with students accounts easily and it was easy to use.

The Cool Tool that I chose to review for this week is Emaze . Emaze is the next generation of PowerPoint presentation that expands to offer a creation tool to the social hubs such as website design , blogs, ecards, and photo albums. With Emaze you are able to add media, GIFs, and live social feeds. Some features that Emaze has is that it is easy to share content anywhere and monitor who is watching. Blog #11- Productivity

Productivity as an educator is one of the most important things you need to be. Personally, I would like to get a routine going in the start of my teaching career to make things easier in the future than to continue to work hard my whole teaching career. When achieving productivity in the classroom you want to make sure that your students interests are kept while also incorporating high order thinking. After taking this class there are a few productivity tools that I could see myself using in my classroom such as: Reminding Tools - to help me remind myself of test days or important dates and to also help me remind my students and their parents of the homework that is due along with important dates (tests, field trips, permission slip deadlines, picture day, ect). On My Honor, Being a Digital Citizen

For the most part, digital citizenship for me, reflects both my personal and professional life equally. I would never post or say anything online that I would not do in person. With that being said, I have never (purposefully) posted anything to hurt someone's feelings because I know how it feels and do not want anyone else to feel that way. If I have posted anything embarrassing of one of my friends, they have never asked me to take it down and if they have I would have no problem doing it. There have been plenty of pictures from high school that my friends have tagged me in that I have asked for them to take down, not because I was doing anything bad, but the picture was just plain embarrassing!
